She held visiting fellowships\/professorships at the Kyoto University, the University of Tokyo, the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, the International Institute for Asian Studies\/University of Amsterdam, the East-West Center, Stockholm University and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Science. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Research<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Her research projects have been funded by grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, the Centre for International Governance Innovation, University of Waterloo, University of Calgary, Killam Foundation (Canada); the East-West Center, the Social Science Research Council (US); the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, the Japan Foundation, and the Matsushita International Foundation (Japan).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Director of East Asian Studies and Renison Research Professor Kimie Hara\u00a0is a Professor, the Renison Research Professor and the Director of East Asian Studies.
