{"id":104,"date":"2019-08-29T17:03:26","date_gmt":"2019-08-29T17:03:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/artsweb.uwaterloo.ca\/r22georg\/?p=104"},"modified":"2023-08-16T14:39:51","modified_gmt":"2023-08-16T14:39:51","slug":"revisioning-co-op-work-reports-in-economics-at-uw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/artsweb.uwaterloo.ca\/r22georg\/2019\/08\/29\/revisioning-co-op-work-reports-in-economics-at-uw\/","title":{"rendered":"Revisioning Co-op Work Reports in Economics at UW"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Co-op education is a distinguishing component of studying at the University of Waterloo.\u00a0 Ideally, co-op work experience would promote student reflection on the distance between academic training in economics and experience in private, non-profit or public employment, and thereby yield greater understanding of economies.\u00a0 This is a challenging objective to fulfill.\u00a0 Promoting such learning introduces some thorny problems to do with the difference between direct social experience and social investigation based on objective meaning-contexts (to use the language of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alfred_Sch%C3%BCtz\">A.
